Vertigo Comics is a defunk mature comic book imprint of DC Comics, that ran from 1993 to 2020.

Its titles consisted of Preacher, Y:The Last Man, Fables, 100 Bullets, iZombie, Scalped, and many more. Since its initial launch in 1993 many of Vertigo’s works have been translated to both the small and big screen.

During its 27 year career, Veritgo Comics would go on to leave its mark in the Comic book industry, with its adult themes and edgy characters and would mark a renaissance in comic book history. Vertigo comics taught the average comic book reader that comic books were not just for kids anymore.

Originally founded by Editor Karen Berger, Vertigo Comics would go on to make household names of many comic book Creators during its inception, including Brian Azarello, Garth Ennis, Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder, Neil Gaiman, and Alan Moore.
